Bizhub C450 Overview


The bizhub™ C450 gives you the flexibility to handle high-volume document traffic in any form -- with Konica Minolta bizhub OP design to improve multifunctional performance, newly enhanced security features to help safeguard your sensitive information, and powerful PageScope™ software to manage networked devices, documents and print queues more efficiently.

If your business depends on color graphics, you can also add the latest Fiery® Image Controller to your bizhub C450 and take advantage of advanced color management and color matching capabilities that make all your work look more professional.

  • Workhorse B&W print production at up to 45 ppm, with first-print output in just 5.5 seconds -- a true monochrome replacement for your existing printer/copier.
  • High-speed, high-quality color printing at up to 35 ppm, with Simitri® Color Polymerized Toner to create brilliantly detailed images.
  • Fast, flexible scanning at up to 38 originals per minute, to share information via Scan-to-Email, Scan-to-FTP, Scan-to-SMB, and Scan-to-User Box on a built-in 40 GB hard disk drive.
  • Heavier stock: print up to 140 lb. index, envelopes, coated paper, duplex up to 140 lb. index from any tray, reproduce 11” x 17” originals on 12” x 18” paper to preserve crop marks and borders.
  • High-volume fax option provides Super G3 transmission/reception with speed-dialing, broadcasting and other high-volume facsimile features.

    High-Performance bizhub OP Design.

    Print control is built-in, not add-on -- so you don’t need a print control option. Both PostScript and PCL are available on the standard controller -- so right out of the box, the bizhub C450 provides full print/copy/scan functionality.

    35 ppm Color Speed.

    Lets you produce high-quality color brochures, presentations, reports and resource documents in-house and on-demand -- to make all your communications more effective.


    Simitri® Color Polymerized Toner.

    Exclusive Konica Minolta technology, with ultra-fine particles of smaller size and more consistent shape to improve detail and definition, provide more consistent color output and maintain color stability over long print/copy runs.


    3,400-Sheet Capacity.

    High paper capacity allows longer unattended operation; versatile paper handling lets you print 11” x 17” originals on paper sizes to 12” x 18” to preserve crop marks and borders, accommodate paper weights up to 140 lb. index in standard trays, even print envelopes and glossy stock.


    Fast, Flexible Scanning.

    Scan-to-Email, Scan-to-FTP, Scan-to-SMB and Scan-to-User Box functionality allows you to move information any way that suits your workflow.


    Secure User Box Functionality.

    You can store and access documents, prints, copies, even faxes in secure User Boxes on the built-in 40 GB hard drive of the bizhub C450 -- with up to 1,000 User Boxes, up to 9,000 pages of data, password protection, User Authentication and Account Track convenience.


    Enhanced Security Functions.

    Protect system data more effectively with standard security features that include Job Erase, HDD Overwrite (2 methods), Account Track, User Authentication, Password Protection, IP Address Filtering and Secure Print.


    DF-601 Standard Automatic Document Feeder.

    Holds up to 100 sheets, loads up to 110 lb. index, accepts originals up to 11” x 17”, handles 1-sided or 2-sided originals.


    Standard Duplexing.

    Automatic duplexing of up to 140 lb. index paper.


    Universal paper cassettes 

    250-sheet and 500-sheet capacity, each handling up to 140 lb. index paper in sizes up to 12” x 18”. Universal bypass adds additional 150-sheet paper capacity, handles up to 140 lb. index paper.


    Powerful Finishing Options.

    Add options for sorting and grouping, multi-position stapling, 2-hole/3-hole punching, even booklet-making for up to 60-page booklets crease-folded and saddle-stitched.


    Fiery® IC-402 Image Controller.

    Embedded design with Intel Celeron 2.0 GHz processor, 80 GB HDD, PCL6 and Adobe PostScript 3; provides a wide range of advanced Fiery color management and control capabilities for professional graphic applications and incorporates the latest system 8e architecture from EFI. Also includes EFI Spot On Graphic Arts feature standard.


    Fiery® Graphic Arts Options.

    Power up your color workflow with Auto Trapping, Hot Folders, EFI Color Profiler for accurate color profiling, and EFI Impose for full imposition setting and preview using compact PDF files that can be RIPped more quickly.


    SC-503 HDD Encryption Kit Option.

    Allows you to encrypt all data stored on the hard disk drive of the bizhub C450 to prevent retrieval of sensitive information by unauthorized personnel.


    PageScope™ Software.

    The industry’s most comprehensive suite of software enhancements increases your networking power, provides fast access to scanned documents, performs full-text search on OCR-converted documents, enhances images, converts file formats, integrates with enterprise systems, downloads total meter reads and more.


    Vendor Kit Option.
